THE BUG

The combination of going to Texas two weeks ago, the fall T Mag travel issue and not having been on a real trip in a while is giving me the travel bug. Luckily I get to make the most out of driving across the country soon, however my friends Lauren and Nialls are giving me a thirst for exotic locales. Their stories in North Africa and Spain so far are k i l l i n g me. Read about them here.

30

Thirty years ago today my parents tied the knot. Sadly my mother was a size two so I won't be able to stage a revival to commemorate the event, however: My friends Lizzy and Nick tied it on themselves this weekend in Austin, Texas, and like Lizzy, my mother wore gardenias in her hair. To wedded bliss, unions, love and everlasting style!

TBA

I am having a crazy September and am literally unable to make any TBA events (which I have justified with the consolation prize of an impending New York). Luckily, thankfully, I can catch my friends Woolly Mammoth Comes To Dinner and their insane line-up of comrades, including off-shoot projects of Oregon Painting Society and an all-star version of Miracles Club, tomorrow, the Works at Washington High School, 10:30.

Although it's September, the traditional month for high energy and fresh starts, Mercury, your ruler, is still retrograde until September 12, so as you enter the month, take it slow and easy. The world will be in warm-up stage, not quite ready for your ideas yet. To push hard now would be out of sync with the flow of things, and you will actually gain more by spending some time thinking and perfecting your strategy.

LET'S GET CREATIVE WITH THE RENT

I am Mrs Rachel Daniel, 32years old female from Newark, NJ. I am into (interior amd exterior) decorations and been working within the States and that has given me little accomodation ideas and now that I am coming back to your area fully to continue with my job and also to do some little exploration, I am looking for someone to rent me a room. I saw your add on craigslist as looking for a roommate so I decided to contact you. We could get creative with rent. I recently came upon some hard times with my husband who is there in your State now and have moved on without him. I would have given out the number for you to call on but it's cool if you want the number I'm on here if you would like to contact me by phone. I am a stable person with no kids. Maybe you still have a place available and don't mind having me as your roommate. However, I have a very steady rental history.. I do work and have no criminal history. I just need someone to offer me a decent place with all the move in expense. I'm a great cook and keep things clean. I am also responsible, clean, neat and organized, respectful, conscientious, non-smoker -fun -sweet -sassy -playful -flexible -reasonable -great communicator with sense of humour. I would love to make my payment via cashier's check or money orders. Get in touch with me and tell me about your place, you, the enviroment and let's talk. Waiting to read back from you as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Rachel Daniel.

HUM

I am all a flutter these days and behind the posting times amidst preparations for a new play, Kinder, which will be at Lewis and Clark College at the end of the month and getting used to the idea that I am leaving Portland in six weeks. I am moving to New York, where I will join Matt who in fact left today.

Lots of missing.
